Hello, my name is Justin Rice. I have lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia my entire life and come from a family with 8 kids, 4 boys and 4 girls. I graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in engineering management.  I am currently a part time student working on finishing my thesis for my M.S. degree in mechanical engineering. I have been involved with many organization in the Hampton Roads area. I am an eagle scout and currently an assistant scoutmaster of Troop 481 in Virginia Beach. I have seen over 30 different operas and performed with the Virginia Opera, in Norfolk on several occastions. I attend St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, where I run the high school youth program, serve on the Vestry and am the Junior Warden. My graduate research work was sponsored by NASA Langley, in Hampton and I have published multiple engineering papers on the joining of materials using friction stir welding.

At this point you may be wondering how someone like me would be doing pet care. Well, growing up we always had pets around the house: Dogs, Cats, Lizards, Birds (Including a Seagull), Hampsters, Gerbils, Guinea Pigs, and so on. My siblings families therfore had pets and they always needed someone to watch them while they were gone... usually me. The word quickly spread that I do pet care and house sitting, so I decided it was time to get a buisness name and license in order to publicize and expand my clientele.

I currently have a 7 year old 'daddy's girl' golden retreiver named Maggie, 2 bearded dragon lizards, 2 cockatiels, 1 yellow nape amazon, and 1 red-eared slider turtle. As for the seal in the background, it is because I like the picture... not because I expect to watch a seal. I thank you for taking the time to get to know me and I look forward to getting to know you and your family!

Maggie and I...you try telling her she isn't a lap dog.
